Soho Bikes is a small Norwegian bike brand that was established in 2009 by bike enthusiasts Lars, Thomas and Lars Petter.
Fixed gear has for several years been a rarely visible phenomenon in Oslo, but has slowly been discovered by others. In big cities such as Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York fixed gear bikes have long been a popular means of transportation. Perhaps especially by delivery services and commuters who desire a fast and maintenance-free bike.
All of Soho Bikes models are named after cities that have a district named Soho, with the exception of the models Oslo Soho and Soho Polo. This is to emphasize the urban lifestyle that surrounds the fixies phenomenon.
The bikes are designed by Soho Bikes and is unique in its form and color. Our guy in China, Lars, was in autumn 2009, scouting for the best distributors and factories where we could build our new bikes. Lars has after three years in Shanghai been well acquainted with the Chinese trade process and is very knowledgeable to distinguish quality from junk. Our goal was to create stylish, simple and sturdy bikes, which we believe we have achieved.
